Amidst the vast horizons of Diné land, the echoes of historical trauma continue to ripple through generations. Yet within this landscape, a prayer for healing began to unfold.
In Dinétah (Navajo Nation), a medicine man held a prayer for the children. That prayer became a school. And that school became a sanctuary named in honor of the revered healer, Little Singer, who carried ancient songs and healing ways for his people. Before his passing, he shared one final hope: that the children would one day carry the language home again.
Little Singer tells the story of this medicine man, his community, and the small school where song, teaching, grief, resilience, and kinship came together in service of future generations. Deeply rooted in the land itself, the film carries forward the vision and medicine of k’é — the Diné understanding of sacred relationship and belonging.
Today, his prayer lives on through the Little Singer Community School — a Diné-led sanctuary dedicated to restoring language, culture, identity, and connection for young people.
You are warmly invited to join the global online premiere of Little Singer, along with a 3-day live gathering featuring Indigenous leaders, wisdom keepers, educators, and healers. Whether you are new to these subjects or have been exploring them for years, this is an opportunity to learn from leading experts and engage in a communal learning experience with a global community of fellow explorers.
Participants will also have the opportunity to upgrade to The Eternal Song Collection — a 12-film documentary series featuring over 70 expanded interviews and teachings with Indigenous elders, activists, and spiritual leaders from around the world.
The films journey across Indigenous lands including Aotearoa (New Zealand), Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland), Bundjalung & Wiradjuri territories (Australia), Diné Bikéyah (Arizona), Wet’suwet’en territory (Canada), and beyond.
SAND is entirely supported through audience contributions and remains committed to walking in reciprocity with the Indigenous communities who have generously shared the gift of their stories, wisdom, and lived experience. Participation is donation based and no one is turned away for lack of funds.
