2026 IS THE YEAR OF THE FIRE HORSE
In the cosmologies of Mongolia, Tibet, parts of southern Siberia and Central Asia, the return of the Fire Horse marks the completion of a 60-year cycle — a powerful turning of time that carries intensity, momentum, and profound potential for transformation. The last Fire Horse year was 1966. Its return in 2026 invites us to pay close attention to how energy is moving, where it is being directed, and what kind of future we are actively creating. The Fire Horse is associated with vitality, speed, passion, and force. It can ignite renewal and courage, but it can also magnify instability when power is ungrounded or misused. Across shamanic, earth-based traditions, times of heightened energy are understood not as guarantees of change, but as tests of responsibility. What we feed grows. What we neglect falls aside. We are living in an era shaped by rapid ecological, cultural, and spiritual shifts. Old systems and structures are strained and showing their weakness. In these times, shamanic and lineage based traditions remind us that power without relationship causes harm, and action without discernment is a waste of energy. Those who are familiar with fire know that it must be tended, not unleashed. Shamanism, in its many forms around the world, arose to help communities navigate times like these. Not as a belief system or identity, but a practice of service, grounded in integrity and accountability. Shamans and Medicine People have long been trained to work with volatile forces, to restore balance, and to help communities remain in right relationship with the living world. At Shamans Directory, we see this year as a call to maturity. As interest in shamanic, lineage based wisdom continues to grow, so too does the need for discernment, ethics, and care. Not all teachings are meant to be shared freely. Not all experiences confer authority. And not all power is meant to be amplified. Our work is to help make these differences visible, to uplift the living lineages, support ethical practices, and protect those who seek healing during moments of vulnerability. Clarity, integrity, right-timing and right-relationship matter. They create a shared field of safety and trust, in which to hold both the healers and those who seek their healing with respect and responsibility. The Fire Horse asks:

Restoring Our Sacred Relationship with the Soul of Pachamama — Valentines for Mother Earth

Our stories, songs, prayers, and creations carry the power to heal and guide us. They remind us that our souls are inseparable from the soul of Pachamama — our living Earth.
Join us for this live, online gathering where practitioners from Shamans Directory will offer short messages of love and gratitude to honor and remind us of our sacred relationship with Pachamama. This is a space to listen deeply, to remember, and to feed the living songlines that connect us with the land, our ancestors, and future generations.
Throughout the gathering, we will participate together in a Despacho ceremony, lovingly created and offered by Medicine Woman Nelida Vilca Huaman from Chinchero, Peru. Each intention will be held within a K'intu, a sacred Andean offering of three leaves, and released to the fire after the ceremony, as a prayer of reciprocity and renewal.
This event is offered as a gift of service. All practitioners, lineage keepers, and earth-honoring voices within the Directory were invited to contribute an offering that reflects their relationship with our Great Mother Earth.
*In Andean ceremony, a K'intu is a sacred offering of coca leaves, deeply rooted in Andean spirituality. The typical configuration involves three carefully selected leaves, symbolizing balance between the celestial, earthly, and subterranean realms (Hanaq Pacha, Kai Pacha, Ukhu Pacha). Before offering, the leaves are often held with reverence and blown upon in a practice known as Phukuy, imbuing them with prayers, gratitude, and intention.
Feel free to bring three leaves of your choice with you to offer as your K'intu during the event.
Meet powerful Medicine Man Alfredo Huayta Singona, a family member of Maestro Puma Fredy Quispe Singona of the Qanchis Illya Rainbow Lineage, for a sacred exploration of the teachings and insights of Apu Wachuma, also known as San Pedro. Apu Wachuma is revered as the Ancient Master of Light and Crystal-Clear Medicine. This highly evolved master plant ally connects us with the luminous essence of Spirit, holding high-vibrational frequencies that transcend heaviness within sacred time and sacred space, allowing us to receive absolute light, clarity, and joy.
As taught within this lineage, it is not always necessary to physically consume this sacred plant to receive its blessings. Through sacred communion, clear intention, and energetic programming, one may receive light energy, guidance, and support from this powerful plant spirit ally. While this program does not train participants to become Hampeq, a sacred role passed through generations within native communities, you will receive essential Hampeq teachings that can be applied for personal healing and, where appropriate, within a therapeutic setting.
Throughout the training, you will learn how to create and hold sacred healing space, prepare and work with traditional diagnostic and healing tools, and refine your intuitive and energetic sensitivity. This program is especially suited for those who already hold a healing practice and wish to deepen the ancestral roots of their service, as well as for those walking the Andean path for personal growth who feel called to explore its beliefs and practices more deeply.
The training is led by Vilma Pinedo, a medicine woman from a long lineage of Hampeq women and men from Cusco, Peru, and Francisco Victoria, a cultural researcher. Together, they offer a beautiful blend of lived ancestral transmission and modern understanding, bridging tradition with contemporary context.

Taking place during the Summer Solstice in the rare and powerful Year of the Fire Horse (2026), this two-week immersive journey invites participants into the heart of Mongolia’s shamanic traditions and vast nomadic landscapes.
Guided by Grandmother Chinggis Ayangat, an internationally respected Spiritual Leader and founder of Guerliin Urguu (House of Light), this experience offers a profound encounter with ancestral wisdom and sacred ceremonies. Grandmother Ayangat is the author of over forty books, all received through her Oracles’ transmissions, and travels worldwide sharing her teachings.

Set in 16th century South America, in the Andes Mountains of Peru, Pachamama is a colorful cg animated feature by Argentine director Juan Antín and produced by Didier Brunner (The Secret of Kells, Ernest and Celestine) through his Paris-based studio, Folivari. Determined to tell a story from an Indigenous perspective, Antín harnessed pre-Columbian iconography, including repetitive geometrical patterns particular to the region’s clothing and art, as the basis for the film’s character and production design.
Pachamama places at the center of its narrative 10-year-old Tepulpaï, a vivacious young boy with aspirations of becoming a respected shaman. But as his community engages in a ceremonial offering to the great spirit of Pachamama, an Incan overloads disrupts their sacred time and confiscates the town’s highly symbolic golden statue, which connects them to the Earth. Using this as an opportunity to prove himself, Tepulpaï embarks on a journey to recover the invaluable icon alongside his friend Naira and her pet llama.
The film was nominated at the Cesar Awards, France’s highest film honors. Pachamama is available online.
